When a defendant is out on bond with a bail bondsman and fails to appear in court a FTA ( Failure To Appear), NISI, or Bench warrant is issued. At the time of the warrant the bail bondsman must pay the bond or return the defendant to the jurisdiction he/she was bonded out of.
